Trivrut Operculina turpethum

Trivrut a member of the ‘morning glory’ family. Trivrut is a large perennial climber that grows in the warm climates of southern India. Trivrut can be literally translated as ‘having three parts’ which references the twisted appearance of this plant’s vine.

Traditionally, this herb is popularly used in an Ayurvedic practice known as panchakarma, the five activities, and is part of the Mahanarayan oil formula that we have made our own version of as Active Oil.
