Kantakari Solanum xanthocarpum

Like Bruhati, Katakari belongs to the nightshade family along with potatoes, aubergines (one common name of Bruhati is the ‘African eggplant’), and tomatoes.

Also like Bruhati, Katakari is known locally as a wild ‘eggplant’, with a long traditional use as both food and medicine in Ayurveda which uses its root, fruits, and juice.

An essential part of the famous Mahanaryan oil we use it in Active Oil.
